AnimEigo ran a successful Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign in 2021 to release the OVA on Blu-ray Disc.The Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01 anime premiered in December 1987. The OVA was AnimEigo's first anime release in 1990. RetroCrush is streaming the anime.
