
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Game Gets Pac-Man Collaboration DLC in Early 2026
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac game gets Sonic the Hedgehog DLC
Sega streamed a new trailer during this year's gamescom Opening Night Live preshow on Tuesday for its Sonic Racing CrossWorlds game, and it reveals a collaboration with Bandai Namco's Pac-Man. The DLC pack including Pac-Man, Ghosts, and Pac-Village launches for the game in early 2026. In turn, the Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac game, a remake of the original Pac-Man World 2 game with new features, will get a DLC pack for Sonic the Hedgehog in late 2025.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds will feature guests from other Sega franchises including Hatsune Miku, Like a Dragon's Ichiban, and Persona 5's Joker. The Minecraft franchise will also appear in the game. The game will also crossover with Nickeledeon animated series: SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.Sega will release the game on September 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will also have a Nintendo Switch 2 release digitally in holiday 2025 and physically in early 2026 with the full game on the cartridge. There will be a Switch 2 upgrade pack for owners of the Switch version, and progress will carry over. The game will get an Open Network Test from August 29, 2025 to September 1. There was a closed network test from February 22-24.There will be an animation project for the game in September.Sega released the Team Sonic Racing game in May 2021 physically and digitally for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch (with a digital-only release on PC). The game is a kart racing game featuring characters from the franchise, as well as both online multiplayer and single player modes.
