
Live-Action Cosmetic Playlover Series Gets 2nd Season in January 2026
1st season starring Sou Okuno, Yūdai Toyoda debuted in August 2024
The staff for the live-action series adaptation of Sachi Narashima's Cosmetic Playlover manga revealed on Thursday the series is getting a second season. The new season will debut in January 2026 on Fuji TV and FOD. Takehiro Shindo is returning to direct the series, alongside director and assistant director Yoshikazu Sugiyama. Hiroko Kanasugi is again writing the script, and Kōji Endō is again composing the music. The series starred Sou Okuno as Natsume Mamiya and Yūdai Toyoda as Touma Sahashi. Other cast members included Shunta Sono as Atsushi Nanjō, Nozomi Seina as Chief Harada, and Tomoki Yonemura as Taichi Harukawa.Urashimasakatasen performed the series' theme song "Wagamama Only Mine."Animate International licensed the manga, and the series is available in English digitally on multiple platforms.
